On our direct line is Charles PRATT (1817-
Once called the “Low Church” as it was down hill from St Mary's or the “High Church”. It is built on the site of a Norman church which may have replaced an even older church. The tower was causing concern by the mid 18th century and was taken down A local architect Thomas JOHNSON rebuilt it to his own design. In 1779. A vestry was added and the chancel rebuilt in 1869 to designs by John GIBSON.
